The Craft Teacher

Geraldine Jozefiak – the Craft Teacher

I’ve been sharing crafts with others since 1990.

As well as writing Craft Programs and judging at Local and
National events I’m an Assessor, Teacher and Trainer.

It won’t surprise you to know I’m passionate about passing
on creative skills and setting standards in craft teaching and
learning.

I believe anyone can do crafts – whatever their level. I’ve worked with people with disabilities, children, the general public and the elderly. All have shown me that learning crafts should be fun and easy. If it’s not, then it’s the way it’s shared that the problem. Not the other way round.

I’ve never met anyone I couldn’t get to ‘do crafts’ even those with many challenges.

My hope through my craft teaching is to give people choices. Choices in how and when to learn, so that everyone can learn the best they can, from the best they are given. As the Craft Teacher would say “We create the steps, you set the pace”…

No, I don’t know everything about crafts, but the online world connects us all to so much more than what’s in our own heads. It’s in sharing knowledge that we become more than we are.

I’m also a Spiritualist, a Mum to 2 grown-up children, and work at my local Prison. All-in-all it teaches me that purpose, ethics and truth are the only ways to live our lives.

And it’s in that light that I write and share what I do. My simple ethos is, if I change one life, then it’s all been worthwhile. I’d love it if you’d join me, in my thinking and in learning crafts.

In my opinion, qualifications aren’t as important as the thinking that gets us there, but for those who are interested here’s my Bio.
